Celestial Navigation* Meets Punk Rock**: A Fun Way to Learn the Night Sky

*Well, how to locate the North Star, determine North/South/East/West, and reckon latitude, at least.

**Well, an AI Generated pop-punk rock style song, at least.

In my latest video, I’ve taken some of the best graphics and animations I’ve created over the years for my astronomy classes—covering how to find the North Star, determine the cardinal directions, and reckon latitude—and set them to an AI-generated punk rock song. The result? A high-energy, fast-paced way to learn the basics of celestial navigation in just a few minutes!

If you've ever wanted to navigate by the stars but thought it sounded too complicated, this video breaks it down in a way that's both fun and memorable. The catchy music keeps things engaging, while the visuals make it easy to follow along. Whether you're a student, a stargazer, or just someone who loves a little science with their punk rock, this is for you.

Check it out, and let me know—does celestial navigation work better with a guitar riff?
